SAMIR made his debut in his hometown in July and came through a busy four rounder defeating experienced Lithuanian Marius Vysniauskas 39-37 on Howard Foster’s card.

 

It was another Bolton outing two months later, and he had too much for Mikey Young, winning all four rounds.

 

He faced Jake Pollard in his third professional fight on March 23 and the pair exchanged big shots for four rounds before Samir’s hand was raised in front of his hometown fans.

 

The popular boxer continued winning in September when he came through an exciting fight winning all four rounds against Steve Jackson.

 

It was a disappointing end to 2023 when he lost his unbeaten record to Nabil Ahmed over six rounds, but gets the chance for revenge in March 2024.

 

He took up boxing to follow in the footsteps of his cousin and works as a personal trainer
