Sean Arkwright, known as a big ticket seller, made his return to boxing in June 2024 after a two-year hiatus and is eager to make up for lost time in the ring. The ‘Smiling Southpaw’ showcased his skills by comfortably outpointing Tom Ramsden in his comeback fight and is set to stay active in his pursuit of success. In July, Arkwright returned to Grand Central Hall, stepping up to six-rounds where he again dominated, outpointing Jake Bray.

He started his professional journey in September 2021, earning a solid points victory against Jordan Grannum, a respected journeyman known for his tricky style, making it a challenging debut for many.

Arkwright faced another seasoned opponent in his second fight, winning all four rounds against Kevin McCauley, who had already fought an impressive 243 times. He continued his unbeaten streak with a shutout points win over Carl Tunney in March 2022, bringing his record to a perfect hat-trick of wins.

His sixth fight took place in Blackpool in September, where he achieved a unanimous decision victory over Dzmitry Atrokha, although he noted that he wasn’t at his best.

Before turning professional, Evertonian Arkwright honed his skills at Kirkdale ABC, where he fought approximately 40 amateur bouts and earned several regional titles, showcasing his potential as a rising star in the welterweight division.
